Financial Advisor

Ken has several areas in particular he enjoys working with folks on.

Adoption
A recent adopter, Ken knows how difficult the process can be from an emotional standpoint as well as a financial point of view.  If you are in the process or considering adoption, reach out to Ken and he'll do what he can to help you - pro bono.

The Family Meeting
Another pro bono service Ken offers is the family meeting.  He firmly believes the most important legacy one can leave to their heirs is simply a well communicated aging plan. A family planning meeting is not about assets or "who gets what", but more about what the aging family members want to happen as their needs change, and to discuss these wishes openly BEFORE they require assistance.

Small Business Retirement Plans
On the small business retirement planning side Ken loves to show business owners that there are many more options than a traditional 401(k) for employers to utilize. While Traditional 401(k)'s are still the best option for many businesses, they can can sometimes be viewed as too costly or too complicated to implement and that's where the other plan options can make sense.

College Savings
Recent tax law changes have made 529 plans even more attractive in Ken's opinion - if you are looking to get something setup for a loved one Ken has a wealth of information on 529's and the other options available.

On the business side
Ken graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2004 with a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering. Ken worked for 7 years in the transportation industry before venturing out on his own as a Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed in 2011. He believes his past experience focusing on cost savings and efficiency in the corporate domain brings him a unique perspective to the financial services arena. Ken completed the extensive Certified Financial Planner™ professional coursework and exams in 2015 and continues to hold the prestigious certification and strives to adhere to its ethical standards. Ken works out of two offices in Mechanicsburg and Selinsgrove.  In the summer of 2018, Ken joined Timothy and Andrew Jones's office and continues his dedicated service to his clients.  In 2021, Waddell & Reed was sold and LPL is now the back office for his practice.

On the personal side
Outside of work, Ken finally retired his long term bachelor status and was married in March of 2018 to his lovely wife Lesley and they welcomed their first children (twins!) in July 2019 - Lenora and Aggie. As if that wasn't enough, they added to their family through adoption in 2022 and welcomed Jeanie, so he's officially a "Girl Dad".  Ken enjoys keeping up with his eclectic mix of sports teams and travels as often as he can.
